OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma June 1, 2002 – New Dawn Technologies is pleased, tulsa attorneys
, to announce that the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council (DAC) has selected the JustWare Prosecutorโข and JusticeBroker for their case management and data exchange solution.
โWe are very excited to add the DAC, to our existing statewide contracts and users,โ stated Thomas P.
Higgins,, tulsa attorneys
, President and CEO of New Dawn Technologies. New Dawn also has contracts with the Wyoming County and District Prosecutors and the State of Maine District Attorneys.
โThe DAC and their technical staff are a focused, detailed group who has clearly defined and realistic goals. We believe that upon completion of this project they will set the standard for other statewide, prosecutorial based case management systems throughout the country,โ added Higgins.
The majority, tulsa attorneys
, of the District Attorneys throughout the state are utilizing an internally-developed, Microsoft Access-based application (DART’s) in 23 of their 27 judicial districts. The remaining districts are using agency-developed applications and a commercial application.
Working in conjunction with New Dawn Technologies Data Integration Services staff, the DAC’s information technology and programming staff will consolidate all of DART’s databases into one database.
They will also convert two of the internally-developed applications into JustWare.
The two remaining districts, the 7th Judicial District Attorneys Office in Oklahoma City, and the 14th Judicial District Attorneys Office in Tulsa, will continue to utilize their existing systems and, tulsa attorneys
, will not participate in the project at this time.
โBecause JustWare is designed, tulsa attorneys
, to work in a multi-jurisdiction and multi-agency fashion, the individual districts will be able to take advantage of central name information.
They can also view case information entered throughout the state, tulsa attorneys
, that is stored in JustWare, while not compromising their local existing security and access policies,โ stated Max Barfuss, Director of Product Engineering.
Each of the individual district’s JustWare databases will send key name and case information, tulsa attorneys
, to a centralized server, located at the DAC in Oklahoma City, in order to provide statewide, statistical data as well as act as the publisher of name and case information to all of the participating districts.
Giving an example of what database replication will provide to the DAC and to individual agencies, Barfuss said, “JustWare users in District Four will not only have an historical view of all the cases for defendants, witnesses and victims in their local JustWare database, they will also have access to a central, statewide name database. They can view individual case involvements entered in any of the statewide participating districts.
“
Due to the design of DART’s application and less than T1 connectivity between the remote and main offices, the majority of the districts participating in the project have multiple counties that have had little or no connection with DART data.
DAC’s technical staff, with assistance from New Dawn, will provide JustWare access for these remote agencies via thin-client, tulsa attorneys
, software.
“The use, tulsa attorneys
, of thin-client technology alone will increase the efficiency of these existing remote users, and the optimized design of JustWare further increases the efficiency of the remote user,” stated Barfuss.
The DAC will utilize the JusticeBroker application to electronically submit case and name information to the criminal history database maintained by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Many of the, tulsa attorneys
, ODAC users will take advantage of the fine, fee, restitution and hot-check functionality offered by the JustWare Financialsโข solution.
Future projects will involve the electronic receipt, filing and sharing of case and name information from the statewide used and developed law enforcement, booking product, ODIS and court applications.
JustWare tracks all pertinent name and case information, tulsa attorneys
, associated with individuals who are being prosecuted or defended.
This includes court events, victim notifications and dispositions, tulsa attorneys
, . From within JustWare, complex legal documents may be automatically prepared, printed, tracked and organized. JustWare also includes a report writer to accommodate the custom reporting and statistical information specific to each agency.
JusticeBroker can address all of the unique data exchange needs that prosecutors, court and public defender agencies encounter.
This includes arrest-filing, disposition-reporting, event-sharing and probation.
