HISTORIC CHAPEL MEETS THE NEEDS OF TODAY’S BUSY BRIDES

Author: Anonymous

Galway, NY, USA November 9, 2002 — Located in the foot hills of the Adirondack Mountains, this serene country chapel offers the perfect setting for a romantic wedding. Wendy Lyon, the Executive Director began her business, A Wedding in the Country, after purchasing the abandoned church in 1992. She wanted to provide a service to brides that was not available anywhere in the area. A Wedding in the Country is now a thriving wedding chapel that attracts brides from all over the country.

Most brides are working full time and don’t have a great deal of time to devote to planning a wedding. Along with providing a historic site for a wedding, it’s Wendy’s goal to save the bride time and money by suggesting money saving tips and recommending the area’s most respected wedding professionals.

A Wedding in the Country is located in the former East Galway Methodist-Episcopal Church which was built in 1859.

The history of the church can be directly traced back to the original founder of the Methodist Church, Reverend John Wesley.

Restoration of the church to it’s former glory took 2 years of work but now hosts weddings with couples from all across America.

The chapel is located 10 miles from Saratoga Springs, New York. Historically, Saratoga, No Comments »
