How to Make a Movie

Author: Guy Draper

We are not really talking about a Warner Brother production here, but more a beginning to your movie editing career. You need to structure your work to enable yourself to obtain the best standard of work possible. Using a structure like the one below is a common way of producing an amatuer film or production.

The first thing you need to do is choose the type of film you want to produce. This could be in the form of a narrative, where you tell the story to the viewers, a documentary which obviously shows a realistic side of a story, or a compliation grouping of images, footage or photos, but that’s more of a family video album type idea!

Once you have chosen the type of film your shooting, you need to choose a theme.

A good idea at this point would be to choose a theme that you are very clued up on, especially as its probably your first project. As an inexperienced director, it will definitely show if you don’t know 100% of the information relating to your subject.

So you have chosen a theme, now you need to write a script. You can go about this a couple of ways. You can either write the whole thing, http://www.videogamersrealm.com
